I am a bit confused. I downloaded Opera 38.0.2220.41 - Opera is up to date
System: Mac OS X 10.11.4 64-bitand I found the instructions to 'activate' the VPN service, but following
the instructions..." Opera menu, select “Preferences” and toggle the feature VPN on"
there is no such place to do it. wtf. Any help appreciated

- enter opera://flags in the address bar, next type "VPN" in search box.
- "Opera VPN" set as enabled
- restart browser
- then toggle the feature VPN on in Preferences

Thanks...but its not clear to me where the address bar is...within the application under preferences? The search within the app doesnt find anything at all.

OK, wait...something happened. I found an 'enabled' switch, quit the browser, and restarted, and then was prompted to open a 'private window' for browsing...apparently the only time the built-in VPN works? Is that true? Thanks for your help...

In Opera Beta and Opera Developer VPN also works in a normal window. You have to wait.
