Password manager not saving passwords

Hi everyone,
I'm using the latest version of Opera, but everytime I open it, it asks for the username and password for every site I go too.
So, I enter them, and all is good, close the browser at the end of the session, and then next time it all starts again.
I looked in password manager, and it has no entries, even AFTER entering a password!!
Opera gives me the option to save, but then doesn't store it in the manager.Anyone, why?

Go to About Opera in the Opera menu and copy your Opera profile location. Open that folder and check its permissions. It might be that the profile folder has restricted permissions and Opera is unable to update the password file with the changes.
