Want to lower contrast brightness of screen - Opera nearly unusable as is

I find that all programs are somehow to bright for me on my screen, so it makes me very hard to work in them. Hence I spend most of my time in Mozilla which at the moment is terrifying unstable (since 39.0 or so). I was able to hack configuration files in Mozilla to lessen the brightness of the white background. Hence it is easy on my eyes and I can work in Moz all day.
I would love to do the same in Opera.
div (line 9)
{
color: #787878;
{color: #787878 !important;}
This is the code I used to either make the white less white or make the black less black, I forget which. I think it toned down the black into more of a gray, hence less of a contrast with the white. Most of my vision issues are with contrast, not colors per se.
Obviously I can do this with Moz, but how do I do it with Opera?
