Unable to customize toolbar.

Hello. Long time Safari user. It's slowed to a crawl. Opera is far faster and has most of the features and some better ones. I looked in the help and see I right click on the toolbar to customize it. When I do that, nothing happens. Would like to add some buttons, change some positions, etc. Opera 36.0. OSX 10.11.4
