Omg Dear developers whatta hell is going on? I have dual core Phenom processor 3.0ghz and 8 gb of memory on my laptop.
Some video players uses about 100% of my CPU. Same tabs andweb pages with the same video on opera 12.16 uses 35% of my cpu. What kind of PC people need to use new opera without lags and other sttuff? hrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr -

So its about 8-9 years old? Its cutting it close but it should still be usable. What OS are you running? Also, what video card? Is hardware acceleration enabled in Opera? It might be that the laptops video card is so old/crappy that it can't contribute to rendering the video and your CPU is being forced to do all the work. What video chipset is it? Are you running the latest video card drivers?

Look on the difference please Opera 12.17 (CPU usage is between 25-55%) 1080p video http://s14.postimg.org/hebcq6zpt/12_17.jpg
And now magick time for opera 36 Same video (CPU usage between 52-75%) 1080p video
Complettly no difference if plugins are on or off on both opera's.

It looks like your system just has difficulty with the new version of Opera. I don't think there is anything you can do about it.

Youtube looks different on old opera and on the new one. Both times video was 1080p. Forgot to show that on the second screen. On old opera 1080 looks perfectly. With new opera video stucks some times and feels laggy. Its not freezing it plays but feels like freezes for 0.05 sec. I dont know how to explain that.
