Forcing h264 (instead of VP9) Videos on Youtube

Hi Community,
I just wondered if there is a solution to force h264 instead of VP9 videos on youtube, since playback in Safari (h264-hardware) uses almost no processor time but about 50% in Opera (VP9).

You need to install this extension: https://github.com/erkserkserks/h264ify
I use this and it works very well. There is only version for Chrome, so you will need this:

Hi @ohiesber, if you can live without the 360 videos, go to
opera:flags#disable-media-source
, click the "Disable" button, and click "Relaunch Now" to restart the Opera, however, if you want to be able to watch them too, then instead of that, install the "h264ify" extension - to be able to install it in Opera, you need first install one of two extensions: "Extension source viewer", or "Download Chrome Extension" -

Thanks for the tip, but I don't really see a drop in CPU usage. I guess hardware decoding only works with Safari
