opera and imgur slowdown

I have noticed that when I browse imgur the navigation is getting progressively slower as i browse more imgur in one section. when I start a fresh section on imgur the picture and gif load fast and the scrolling is smooth, but after some pictures and gif the navigation and loading is slow and the scrolling is "jammed"
I think it stared with opera 36 but it could be happening with version 35.
