I suspect that the OP has had his Windows 10 default browser revert to Edge instead of Opera.
It should be possible to make Opera the default browser again using its settings, although I'm not familiar with Windows 10.
      🙂

Microsoft Edge has awful UI. It is even worse than in Chropera. It's sad what modern day browsers have turned it into!

I agree half. Edge is really super ugly. But "chropera" is getting to work with Windows 10, with the current stable version very beautiful. As for the general appearance of Windows 10 and browsers downloaded in this system, I agree "in totum".

Agree with OP, i would like to get the old UI because this new one makes me this...

Using the Dark theme of W10.

Except by some tools of the header 🙂

Win10 will periodically switch any default browser back to Edge. Don't know if it's a bug or intentional, but it happens to everybody eventually.

Malwarebytes has an app that prevents this, and there are instructions around the web on how to completely remove Edge.

Correction, Edge Blocker is a Sordum product. They have a lot of little apps and programs that I can't vouch for, not that there is anything wrong with them, I just haven't used.

Here, since I did from Settings> System > Default applications> web browser, it never returned Edge without my intervention (of course never done again). As I use my system in Portuguese, I think I may be understood, made adaptations of nomenclatures, if needed.

He is likely referring to the Windows 10 specific skin, which can be disabled under opera://flags/#windows-10-skin.
