Opera for Mac left/right mouse gesture

Opera 36 has added something called mouse gestures and to switch back and forth on a page one must right click hold and then move the mouse in the direction desired. It defeats the ease of just swiping left or swiping right. It is easier to just right click and then hit back or forward, don't the Opera developers get that? Mac is all about the left and right swipe.
I'm switching back to Opera 35 until Opera fixes it. Anyone else bothered by the new mouse gestures?
