Reload of websites too often

I like the browser, especially the compression-proxy.
But what I don't understand is why websites are reloaded that often. When I open a tab, leave it open and return to that tab later on, most likely the website will be reloaded. It is reloading not only re-rendereing, as when I have no web-connection this process fails.
I understand the need for re-rendering (e.g. Android RAM management), but why reloading pages - especially when there is not internet connection? Even if there is an internet connection, this is a waste of bandwidth. There could be a setting for cache size to adjust between flash memory usage (temporary internet files) and reload often.

Is not about the cache size itself. Even with Opera Mini you will hit a cache miss error via click back.

"Ram management", that's something in which Dev guys doesn't want to assume some clarifications. Well, users feedback is not required in this regard and that's why.
