Reload of websites too often

  • I like the browser, especially the compression-proxy.
But what I don't understand is why websites are reloaded that often. When I open a tab, leave it open and return to that tab later on, most likely the website will be reloaded. It is reloading not only re-rendereing, as when I have no web-connection this process fails.
I understand the need for re-rendering (e.g. Android RAM management), but why reloading pages - especially when there is not internet connection? Even if there is an internet connection, this is a waste of bandwidth.

There could be a setting for cache size to adjust between flash memory usage (temporary internet files) and reload often.

  • Is not about the cache size itself. Even with Opera Mini you will hit a cache miss error via click back.

  • "Ram management", that's something in which Dev guys doesn't want to assume some clarifications. Well, users feedback is not required in this regard and that's why.
