      Hi,
I have been using the older version of opera for 4 years now and have build a large list of favorites in its bookmark list. I want to export it to the new version that I have installed. I have tried the logical way through Opera Menu> Setting> export Bookmark. but when I click on the export bookmarks, it goes to open a file on my computer. I don't know what I am supposed to do.

I have also used another method, starting from the new Opera then started from Opera menu> More Tools> to Import Bookmarks & Settings. There the setting, has a drop down menue which allowed me to import my bookmarks from my Chrome, and IE and Firefox as these browsers are the only ones in the drop down menue, but it did not let me to import my Opera bookmarks from my old version.

can anyone tell me how I can import the bookmarks from my old Opera to the new version please?
      Thanks

      Sam

The most straightforward way would be to export the bookmarks from the old Opera as an HTML file, and then import that into the new Opera.
        🙂

If the old one is Presto, and it's still on your system, uninstall the new one (perhaps), choose the existing Presto one as your system's default browser, then install the new one again. This way, they say it should acquire the existing Opera browser's bookmarks into itself, I don't know 😕
Wait till some other people reply here - I'm not 100% sure it's the way it is now...
