Speed Dial's dialing but nobody's home

Opera build 35, Win 7 64-bit
I've installed O several times over the past 4 months because I keep having the same problem. Once installed I'll open the browser to the Speed Dial screen. Regardless of which website address I type in, the browser shows that it's sending request to redir.opera.com then it spins until it times out. I've adjusted all my settings in O; I've opened both incoming and outgoing ports in Win's firewall; I've even tried shutting the firewall off completely. I've done everything I can think of and it still doesn't work.Any ideas?
