Dear neodraig, that's exactly what I'm experiencing. I prefer Opera as browser on Android, but want to watch YouTube-videos within the YT app, it simply works better.
Thanks for at least giving us the option.

I agree. I tend to open links from Twitter and see this. Somehow using chrome opens YouTube app, so this could be something that could be done as well.

Opera for Android not launching YouTube (and other external apps) is the ONLY thing that keeps Opera from completely replacing Chrome for me.

Just add this option already, this is the biggest issue I have with my lovly Opera. I want open links/videos in my dedicated apps instead in opera web version, escpecially youtube videos.
Please respond that you listening community suggestions.

As someone already commented, this is the ONLY reason I still use Chrome instead of Opera. This happens also with Playstore links: they open in the web version inside opera.
The YouTube mobile site is terrible, and so is the playstore web version.
Please, add an option to open these links in their native app!

I finally switched to Yandex browser. It also has a good line break and turbo, the handling is fine and it opens links with the right external apps. Combined it with the desktop version, which replaced Chrome.

Only as an option. I 've uninstalled all unnecessary apps like YouTube consuming precious space. Besides comments are being shown at the bottom of each video.

Same here, would love to have the option at least. That and the fact that the LastPass app can't fill in logins as with chrome (with opera you can only copy the password or username) is the only reason I haven't done a full switch.
