"inspect element" not working

Not that i use it a lot, but clicking "inspect element" doesn't do anything anymore. 34.0.2036.50, updated automatically. Don't recall using i.e. in the past couple of versions.

works fine here
chromium changed position of dev tools window recently
now, by default, opens on the side
or maybe you undock it to separated window and overlook it

Thanks, vux777. Still, absolutely nothing happens. Since it works for you, I suspect it has something to do with my system: win10 + Webroot AV.
