Can't access my Microsoft Outlook account in Opera 12.16

  • I recently bought a laptop (Acer Aspire ES11 ES1-131-C1JD) to supplement my desktop PC (on which I have Opera 12.16). I downloaded Opera 34 on to the laptop, but didn't like it and didn't have the time nor the inclination to learn it. So I uninstalled Opera 34 and installed Opera 12.16. Everything went fine except I can't access the Microsoft Outlook login page either through a bookmark or going in through the Microsoft website. All I get is a blank page. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Opera 12.16, but it didn't help. I'm surprised about this since I haven't encountered this problem with Opera 12.16 on my desktop. I'm not actually sure if this is an Opera or Microsoft problem.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Maybe copy your Opera profile from the desktop to the laptop. You might have a setting or something tweaked that allows it to work.

  • Opera 12.16 is quite old, and developers do not support it. Probably (I haven't tested it) there are some JavaScript errors on outlook.com. With time more and more pages will not work 😞
