Hi,

Is there any extension that provides (at least basic) bbcode functionality for posting on the forums/blogs?

not as dedicated solution for it
but you can save BBCodes as notes (in V7 Notes) and insert default pattern when needed

I added couple of pre-installed notes for that

I can not believe that there is no extension for such functionality...

Well, extensions are not written by the Opera developers. They are written by whoever decides to do it. So, you could write one or hire someone to write one for you if you feel the need for one to be created is that strong.
