Opera Mail - IMAP / Size, # of messages

Hi all,

I'm working with Opera Mail 1.0 on a OSX 10.6.8 box. Works fine for my personal emails, thank you to the developers team.
A small question : to what extent does the size of the IMAP Inbox dir affect the general performances of the client ? For some reason, I need to keep about 19000 messages in my professional inbox (the rest is stored in (sub-)directories). The native OSX mail.app handles this without problems, but before switching to Opera Mail for my professional emails, I'd like to anticipate the possible issues linked to the # of messages.

Opera Mail can handle that no problem. Note though that the standalone Opera Mail client is an unfinished product and is no longer being developed.
