Hi
Following a number of Windows updates last night, Opera will not launch on my PC today. When I try to launch Opera a dialogue box pops up with the title "Unsupported 16-bit Application" and the message:
"The program or feature "??\C:\Program Files (x85)\Opera\34.0.2036.25\opera.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibity [sic] with 64-bit versions of windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available."
Any suggestions? My PC is running Windows 7 x 64.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Thanks. (I should have tried that before posting.) Have just tried uninstalling Opera now, but nothing happens when I try to uninstall it via Control Panel. Any other suggestions on how to uninstall it?
Have just remembered that I had a BSOD yesterday after booting up for the first time after the Windows updates. Perhaps Opera was updating at that time? Am now trying to access the .dmp file from the BSOD to see if that is any help.
TIA.

Update to the above. Did a system restore which rolled Opera back to V 33.0.1990.115 which is working OK. Need to think about whether to allow it to update to 34 and re-do the last batch of Windows updates.
