How do I uninstall Opera 17?

When I try to uninstall Opera 17 using the Control Panel in Windows 7, I get the message "Cannot initialize Opera due to lack of memory: module 25". How do I uninstall Opera 17?

Seams like your install has been damaged. Maybe try doing an install of Opera 33 over it and then remove it.

Thanks for the suggestion, lando242. I made a mistake in my original post. It is Opera 12.17 not Opera 17 that I can't uninstall. Sorry about that.
I tried what you suggested but unfortunately it didn't work. After I installed the latest version of Opera and removed it, the old one was still there. I tried to re-install Opera 12.17 but this produced the same message "Cannot initialize Opera due to lack of memory: module 25". -

Well, you can always try deleting it the old fashioned way. Just find all of the folders and entries for it and delete them manually.
