Hi,
I am using opera on a data plan, an so I turned off image loading to save data. This new version of opera however does not show image placeholders, which is problematic when an image is used as a link because this way the link does not appear at all. Then sometimes you need to see an image, like a captcha, for which the old Opera 12 had an option to load the specific image you choose.. I cannot find this function in the latest Opera.
So,
-How can I see image placeholders?
-How can I load one specific image once I turned off image loading?
-Where is the show images/cached images button?
-Where is the statusbar??Thanks for the replies... I wish I could just continue using 12 but it is such an old browser it has serious problems loading some websites... this is why I updated to the latest version of Opera but the interface changed so much I cannot find anything..

Look into Opera's Turbo feature. While it doesn't do what you are asking it is built specifically for people in your situation so you might not need image placeholders if you use it. Just something I though I would mention.

Well opera turbo is good, but as far as I know it does not work with ssl. Which means sites like facebook with a lot of images are eating up my dataplan pretty fast. Unfortunately I could not find any solution and now Im back to v 12...
