Hi guys!
We feel a bit stuck here unfortunately - it is difficult to find other sources that have the similar problem
Answers like this is what i found, and it points to that it should be possible to upgrade the testflight build with the one from appstore.
I think we'll leave this issue for now and next time we submit a beta be careful to keep a device with the testflight version and see for ourselves what happens.
Good that you could work around it at least and thanks for your patience and your help!
Merry Christmas!

I can say from experience that once, after 30 days, the test flight app stopped working, reporting it was "expired". I had to re-install the then-current app store version.
Another time, after the gold version was released, I waited for two days and the app store still hadn't offered the update to gold. I searched mini on the app store and installed it.
Both times, it was a clean replacement - all my bookmarks remained. (Though I can't speak to syncing - I don't bother.)

Yes, that first behaviour is expected. Apple sets an expiry date on their betas.
Regarding the second behaviour. So what you are saying is that as long as you go to the "Opera Mini" page in appstore you are able to update.
But what you were expecting was that it should also appear as an update in the to-be-updated list on appstore, and this didnt happen?

Yes, in the second behavior, I installed Mini from the regular app store location, and without trouble.
I expected that after the gold version was released, I'd be prompted for the update from the app store, same as I am for all my other apps. (Mini is the only app I beta.)
If you hadn't posted here that it was out, I'd have kept using the beta until it expired.
