Exporting bookmarks

Wow. This was quite the runaround just to get anywhere to find help.
I'm trying to export my bookmarks. How do I do this? The help page on Operas website says to go settings and click export, but that button does not exist. I've been looking for answers for half an hour and can't find any customer support or anywhere to contact Opera. I'm trying very hard not to curse out of anger at Opera right now.

It really is about time that Opera updated their website help pages!
Those pages refer to the old Presto Opera, not the current versions which are completely different.
There is no bookmark export function built into the new versions, but the "bookmarks" file (it has no extension) in the profile\data folder can be saved to back them up. I believe it can also be used in other Chromium-based browsers to transfer the Opera bookmarks to them.

Get the V7 Bookmarks extension if you want to export to an HTML file to use in non-Chromium based browsers. This only a secondary feature of it. Its main deal is giving you a bookmarks sidebar.
