You tested it on all 26 versions of Windows (not including server versions of course)? Wow, thats impressive considering a third of those wont even run 32 bit applications. Must have been quite an effort. So, how about you be more specific and tell us exactly which versions of Windows you are use. Next, check your Event Viewer and post the contents of an entry that covers an Opera crash.

That said, I'm using Opera 31 on Windows 8.1 and it hasn't crashed on me at all.

I'm using Opera 31.0 on Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit and Opera crashes on me on a daily basis. It freezes on me several times a day until it finally crashes (blue screen) and restarts my computer. It really sucks. I've been a faithful user of opera since its beginning and I must say its quality of performance has really gone down hill. And, please don't make any remarks about vista being the problem cause I'm not buying it.

Applications don't crash Windows much anymore. This was a problem in years past but MS got their act together and protected the core system processes from stuff like this. Blue screens these days are almost always caused by one of two things: damaged system files and bad hardware drivers. Since it seems to be Opera thats triggering the event I would bet that it is, ultimately, a driver issue. Check your event viewer and track down the logs for the crashes and post them here.

Also, are you the same as the OP? You have a different account name...
