ESPN - Unable to Log in

I'm using the latest Opera developer version on Linux (33.0.1982.0), but this was an issue on older versions as well.
I am unable to log in to the ESPN.com site. The login prompt appears and I can enter my credentials, but when I click "Log In" nothing happens, it just clears my username and password and the loging dialog box stays up.If I enter a bad password, it does display an error, so it's recognizing the correct username/password combo, it just doesn't allow the login to finish.
Anybody know of any workarounds for this ?
