How to prevent pop-ups from popping up *outside* of Opera 31

Hello everyone

I sometimes visit sites with pop-ups, but with Opera 12.17, pop-ups never left the browser. I mean, the pop-ups always stayed within the browser (and didn't appear on the Windows task bar as separate windows). For this reason, pop-ups never really bothered me.

In Opera 31, however, pop-us "leave" the browser and become independent browser windows that are often much, much bigger than my browser itself. In fact, some of these pop-ups fill the entire screen. How can I get Opera 31 to prevent pop-ups from being created in new windows instead of new tabs?

I'm not looking for extensions to block pop-ups, just to keep them under control.
