Hi to all!
i've recently installed Opera Mail on Windows 7 (64 bit), but o can't get my gmail account because its not secure.
I get immediately a notify from google where they said they blocked an attempt to login with an aplication not safety?
There is a solution or a workaround? Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Malick

On gmail you can go to My Account/Sign In & Security and down at the bottom enable "Allow less secure apps". That may allow you in on Opera Mail but your gmail is then less secure. If I remember right it is a matter of oauth2 authentication protocol which Opera Mail does not support but don't hold me to that.

Opera Mail is no longer being developed so this problem will not be fixed.

It's not really an Opera bug though. As said, you just have to change a setting on the site to allow IMAP/SMTP. You have to do the same thing for Thunderbird.

True, not an Opera bug, but lack of support for oauth2 I think. I am able to access gmail using Thunderbird with Authentication Method set to OAuth2 and gmail setting "Allow less secure apps" disabled.

Yes, that's it exactly. Would be nice if Opera Mail had it before they quit working on it.
