On customizability

Why do you remove all options to customize the browser?
Even with the "experiments" and "power user" settings, there is practically nothing I can do when it comes to customizing the look of the browser.
I always thought the ability to customize was what made any interface good. Is it somehow not worth it?
What made me make this post was the removal of "Experimental start page" with the latest update, which makes it look horrible again.
Everything was good with Opera 12 until I was forced to upgrade.
I'll probably end up using Firefox along with 20 different extensions.

Why would you be forced to something?
Myself personally am using three browsers.
The first one is an OLD Opera.
The second one is an intermediate Firefox.
The third one is an up-to-date Google Chrome. It is that simple.
Plus you can use both nuOpera and truOpera - they are different browsers.

You're right. No one held a gun to my head.
What I mean by "forced", is that old browsers end up being incompatible with a lot of sites.
I also use Firefox and Chrome for various small things. I'm just not looking forward to spending hours finding 30 different extensions to make the the next browser my main browser.
