It is very strange, but after I've rebooted computer the browser works again.

After the second start Opera the start page crashed again.

Same thing happened to me. Crash on start-- even after a reboot. I had to return to the previous version despite the warnings of Java and Silverlight soon to be unsupported. I can't get the newest version to run at all.
