Pages don't load, videos don't load, transparent top bar

Here was me thinking my chrome was just plain fucked but no all of these wonderful problems persist no matter which browser I use. I thought by now I would have found an answer online, especially with all these forum posts with seemingly the same problem as me, however the ones I've come across have been utterly useless. When I try to watch a youtube video or flash video after pressing play the video start playing, the audio will be fine but the video player remains black screen with a kind of flickering. Sometimes for no apparent reason the top bar of the browser will just go transparent making it near impossible to click minimise, maximise or close. Lastly, half the time I try to open a page it will just load forever, the refresh button spinning but the page remaining completely blank, then I refresh a couple of times and it loads instantly. This has been happening for a while for me in Windows 8 and after upgrading to Windows 10 today nothing has changed, it's exactly the same. Why can't things ever just work... sigh.

If we're ruling out the browser and the system, what's left is your hardware and your internet connection.
However, if it's not an Opera issue, you might consider using our Lounge section.
