Home Button

Hello.
Is it possible to add a "home button" instead of that "start page" that shows the quick dial thing? I just wanted one which I can click and it sends me to the page I added as home.
I read that you could do it prior to Opera 30, but the options doesn't seem on work on 30.

There are a couple of extensions that do this. A quick search for home button on the Opera extensions store will find you what you need.

To have to use an extension to add a home button, what an stupid aproach, no wonder why opera got some little users.

Nothing stupid about it. Not sure if many people really need a "home button.

Well, in Chrome, I use the home button having assigned its
chrome://newtab/
address to it - thus having its speed dial opened. -

Which is what the new tab button in Opera does by default.

Perhaps. But my point (and it seems, the point) is to have it open in the same tab - not new.

Nope it's 100% percent stupid. Just because you don't use an option doesn't mean that I won't. That's why preferences and options exist in the first place. To not provide an option for something that was historically used is very stupid and arrogant. But such is the way of this hipster "Web 2.0" scene. Preferences are pretty much done away with...

Here is what I am using: Homepage in New Tab
It has two features. A button to go to your homepage which you can set in the options. Second, you can choose to open a new tab or reuse the tab you are on.
For me this is awesome.

It is simple enough to add a bookmark for what you want your homepage to be and make it your first bookmark by appearance. With that on any browser, why would you need a home button?
