Make new Tab active Tab?

On Mac, if I Command click a link to open that link in a new Tab, I am not taken to the new Tab but on still on the page I clicked the link on, I have to go to Tab bar and clock this new Tab. Extra steps.
Anyway to have this new Tab be the active window?

On Safari (Mac) you use "Command + Click" to open a link in a new tab in the foreground, like you mentioned; in Opera you can use " Shift+Command+Click" for the same behaviour!
