Slow start

Hello,
I commented here that Opera 34 takes over a minute of 100% cpu to start up. This almost drove me to Chromium, but first I tried a new profile, which brings startup down to about 15 seconds. (So I apologize for the "bloated" comment
)I notice that windows users are advised to delete 3 session* files when startup slows. We have Current Session and Last Session, but mine are small, and deleting them did not help. Clearing history also did not help. I guess something else in my old profile either got too big or got scrozzled.
Can someone advise how to maintain the profile so startup doesn't slow down again?

Much of the startup delay appears to be caused by Adblock. Adblock Fast seems much better.
