How to update pepperflash plugin on Ubuntu

My opera installation refused to run flash on nrk.no.
So I had to figure out to update the pepperflash plugin that I got through enabling the multiverse repositories and installing pepperflashplugin-nonfree 1.7ubuntu1.
In this bug report I found the command that updates the package outside the ubuntu update process:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pepperflashplugin-nonfree/+bug/1312219To update:
sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install-Tommy

Thank you, tandreass1.
Yes, that's the way to update flash in Ubuntu, or in any of its derivatives. You've got it!
And, if you want to check its status, run this command in the terminal:
sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --status
I'm hoping one day, I can look at Opera's plugins and not see this number any longer: Shockwave Flash 99.999 r999 (Actually, I'd be even happier if there wasn't any need for Flash at all, but we've probably got a year or two to go before that becomes a reality.)
No matter, the status command above will tell what version of Flash your browser is really running.

Alternatively, use the (official, maintained by Adobe) adobe-flashplugin package from the Canonical Partner repository: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/adobe-flashplugin .
You might have to enable the Canonical Partner repository to see this package, like this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Ubuntu#Adding_Canonical_Partner_Repositories

As avi mentioned it's much better to use adobe-flashplugin from Partner repo.
This package provides the latest versions of Flash PPAPI and NPAPI in all supported releases. Even 12.04 LTS have the latest version.
Also the latest PPAPI that pepperflashplugin-nonfree diplays for me is:
20.0.0.228
and adobe-flashplugin package has:
20.0.0.267
They have been including those two for at least 9 months already so the pepperflashplugin-nonfree package isn't relevant in Ubuntu anymore.
