Uploading Images to Social Media

I am unable to upload any images to my social media accounts when using Opera. Safari works, but the version I have is very old.
I assume some setting withing Opera is causing this issue, but I can't find any anything in the preferences that could relate to this issue.
Java script is Enabled,
Using Opera 12.6 : Build 1860 : Mac OS 10.6.8
Any ideas would be most welcome.
