New "Edit" Icon?

I've just made a new post to a thread I started here.
The thread did not jump to the top of the board as it normally does when I add a post, and no amount of refreshing will make it do so, which is puzzling.
However, I also noticed that there is now a cogwheel icon next to my name on the thread in the list, above the star icon.
Clicking it offers an edit facility.
"That's useful" I thought, but clicking on it just produces an 401 page saying "Error - You are not authorized to view this page"!
What's all that about then?!
EDIT: I've just noticed that my last post in that thread says it was made at 12.45 PM on the actual post (which is correct) but on the thread list it says the last post was made at 12.45 AM, which is presumably why it hasn't gone to the top of the list. WTF?!

Instead it "sinks" to the bottom as new discussions are made. This discussion has been "sunk". I don't know the reason for this, unfortunately.

What's all that about then?!Well, that's a bug i guess. I think you should see the cogwheel and be able to edit your own posts, though. I'll investigate.

That's a WTF indeed. I'll look into it. Thanks for reporting

Someone else has now posted to that thread of course, but I've just replied to them.
The thread still didn't jump up to the top, and my post is correctly stamped as 7.20 PM.
The overview page also shows that correct time for it as the most recent post in the Opera for Windows forum.
The Opera for Windows forum thread list when opened however says that I made the last post in that thread, but at 12.54 AM!
