Opera has turned into a very sad browser that cant do the basic needs, a browser should be able to perform without any difficulty but Opera fails miserably,it cannot and does not delete history to an acceptable level, and it certainly dosnt delete cookies to an acceptable level either.
What is it with the Auto updating?thanks to auto updating all my bookmarks have disappeared, probably never to be seen again. The current Browser has NO similarities with the browser up to V12 from V12 it has gone rapidly down hill and i`m sure it will crash at the bottom,i used to love it but now it is just a sad excuse for a browser. On my laptop i have even gone back to Netscrap 7.12 that works very well on Win 7 X 64

If by acceptable you mean automatically, yes. It does not delete everything automatically. If by acceptable you mean it doesn't do it correctly then you are mistaken or using it incorrectly.

thanks to auto updating all my bookmarks have disappeared, probably never to be seen again

Have you looked in the bookmarks manager (ctrl+shift+B)? Version 30 has a small bug where the bookmarks don't display in the O menu but they are not deleted.

The current Browser has NO similarities with the browser up to V12

Yes, that is correct. Thats kind of how it works when you rewrite the browser from scratch.

i have even gone back to Netscrap 7.12

And now the crazy comes out.

Look, dude, get over it. Its a web browser. Boo hoo, it doesn't do what you want. Well, I'll get you a free refund of the aboslutly nothing you paid for it. Sound fair? Till then how about you not come here and vent. We aren't your mother, we aren't your therapist and we certainly aren't being paid to put up with your behavior. So please just be silent and go.

ok smart arse, just because its free dosnt mean you have to accept rubbish, and why crazy M8 Netscape is doing what i want from a browser, apart from that the Otter browser is looking much better than Opera at the moment, very similar to O v12

even the early versions V2,v3 operated better than what V30 does.

Going back to Netscape is foolish and also indicative of someone who is incapable of adapting. Like lando said, "get over it." Learn to deal with reality. Opera is a company, a business. It has made a business decision whether you like it or not so if you don't like it find another browser. Venting here will do you (and us) any good. If you want help, we're willing to help if you behave yourself and act in a civil fashion.

Adapting is necesarry process to new unchangable conditions. Animals cant teraform enviroment like humans so they have to adapt but adapting to something that is not necesarry is wasting energy and resources especially when its change for the worse. Do changes to only have changes makes no sence.

opera v12 works slow, it as bad memory manage, opera now is like a chrome fork,

                  works better for me,

yes i know we losed lot of options we were used to, but its the price you pay, nothing is alive forever, try to adapt, i still have v12 installed so i can check notes i have on the browser, open a framed web without the frame (lacking option in v30) and so on and so on, like when you remove format from the web, and those awesome features that allowed you to easily download a picture when its over severl layers of javascript crap and the save image menu never appaers
or when you want check the propieties of a picture in the web, also something missing there...

any way hope they keep working for more improvements.

I agree. I have some problems with new Opera. Bookmarks don't work anymore properly. Synchronization didn't work well too (Only returned bookmarks, but no speed dials), which now they don't work. Also, new Opera lacks lots of features they had before, like:

There's no "reload" speed dial thumbnail to update the image of site thumbnail. And advanced settings are fewer than before.

Also clicking Bookmarks in menu, when bookmarks are too many, it doesn't show full list, instead you have to go in bookmarks page to see them all, which is uncomfortable.

Opera 12.00 was a perfect browser. They shouldn't abandon it, only because this new one is on a Blink engine. Sometimes new doesn't mean better.

I wanted to go back to 12.00 version, but they removed synchronization support for it. I guess, will switch to Maxhton Browser now. Despite their browser has more features than this latest Opera, their support is also better, at least they don't ignore users opinions & respond to their feedback & suggestions unlike Opera.

V12 is still my go to choice, sadly I find many instances it does not work, and I resort to V30 on those sites, but I bet something else will show up to make me forget about Opera altogether, something simply with no fluff, like V12, something where edit-find and done takes the place of wtf.

Try Vivaldi if Opera no longer floats your boat. As for me, I'll stick with Opera. In a worst case scenario, I use Firefox.

The good thing is opera makes it easy for us to open the same page in another browser. And I use lastpass so all my logins still work whenever I switch to another browser temporarily.

Exactly. I also use Lastpass for the very same reasons.

I have recently tried both Vivaldi and Otter browsers, and thus far neither one is ready to be a substitute for Opera 12. They have both tried to mouse the zoom slider, but they don't work with the mouse wheel. Hope that's not the finished version of that function and others
