I want a home button on my tool bar like every browser should have. Searching Google told me to simply right click the bar and select customize, but this feature seems to have been annoyingly removed before or during version 28. Is there any way to add a home button or should I just look for another browser that has this?

        Give this extension a try:

        https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/new-tab-start-page-pro/?display=en

You can add any page you want in the options and it will make the 'Start page' button go to that website.

Isn't there any customize option for toolbars in Opera 28?

I NEED the Status bar specially for the option: Load/Block images to open a page faster?

Here is a great tip: Use PaleMoon as your browser. It is a Mozilla-based browser, based on Firefox, but unlike Firefox it is very stable. I have never had a single problem with it. It is also eminently customizable.

I'm trying Opera as an experiment, but so far it appears to be a very crippled browser. I doubt that it will still be on my machine by mid-April.

There is no status bar in the current builds of Opera. If you want to disable images give this extension a try:

              https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/images-onoff/

It adds a button to Opera that allows you to enable and disable images.
