Look at "What version of Opera Mini will I get?" in page http://blogs.opera.com/mobile/2015/02/how-to-upgrade-from-xpress-opera-mini/
4.5 is as new as 8.0, it depends on phone capabilities (memory, screen width etc.) which one you get.

hi palanismart
try posting your question in the comments to the blog post mentioned by palanismart on 23February. Opera seems to be responding
in the blogs more than in this forum thread. -

Reply meeeeeHi, this certainly sounds like a bug. Please go to https://bugs.opera.com/wizardmini/ and use the form there to report errors. We need as detailed steps as possible in order for our QAs and developers to reproduce and fix the problem. After you submit the bug report, you will get an email address that you can use to send us screenshots and additional details.
Feel free to post the bug id in this forum (SKIRNE-XXXXXX) afterwards.

How to disable proxy? I don't know why this version automatically use proxy, and there's no option about proxy setting. My device is BlackBerry 9300. Thank you.

- Every time at the starting of opera mini v8.0 and connecting to internet, it ask for permission to connect to the network. Its very disturbing. How can i make it 'auto connect'.
- Every time it asks for permission to save something to memory card and same thing happens when trying to read something from memory card. Very disturbing.
Can anyone tell me, Is there any setting available to make it 'auto connect'?

Seriously, you need to bring back themes in next update for java version, and have a myriad of them not just 2 themes like you've done with 4.5. If you don't want to make themes then at least open a site where users can make their own theme and then download and apply the result to their browser. Also why is it that there's no option in opera mini to switch user agent & choose whether the browser should load mobile or desktop sites? Bolt had this feature and it worked flawlessly, one of the reasons why bolt will forever remain the best mobile browser to have existed.

when will you upgrade opera mini for symbian to v8? I'm rocking s60v3 device and as of now it stuck at v7.1.
I don't talk about java version (which as far as I can tell only bring new skins) but the proper symbian one, with ability to continue session with all opened tabs on launch like in android. When suited for symbian it would be better if there's exiting behaviour option, to save current session tabs or not.
I hope it would come soon.

Symbian signing was closed officially 1st of January 2014. There is no way for us to release new or updated software for Symbian.
