"start page" redirects me to yahoo

anytime I click on "start page" located right next to the address bar it takes me to my start page for a second then takes me to yahoo search. My default search engine is set as google as well. Anytime I open a new tab the same thing happens. Any solutions?

blackbird71 last edited byIt sounds like something may be redirecting your searches. Prior to this happening, did you download any freeware that may have been bundled with a browser hijacker or toolbar, and have you noticed any other peculiar browser behavior?

Not that I know of but I did find a sketchy looking yahoo program in my control panel then I uninstalled it and the problem is now fixed. I think I'm all good
