Opera 27. New passwords are not saved

Opera 27 passwords correctly imported from version 12 but despite being marked box "Prompt website passwords stored" in the configuration does not ask if I want to keep the new passwords entered.

Any idea or solution?

I've only started using Opera in the last week. I'm using 27.0.1689.76 but passwords are not being saved. I've clicked "Offer to save passwords", but seems to have no effect. Ideas please!
