How do i pin a bookmark ?

This should be as simple as dragging the bookmark to the [O] in my bar at the bottom of my Desktop but isn't
Can someone explain ?

Not a feature in the current Opera.

OK, I have moved it to the speed Dial but it isn't showing up in the list of speed dial options when i right click the [O] so what can i do to get it to show up ? The FaceBook, eBay, CNN Expansion, YouTube, & 2 others are there.

At the bottom of the speed dial there should be an icon that is just a + (plus) sign. Click that and put the address in the box that appears. Also, when viewing the page you wish to save just click the heart icon to the right of the address bar. In there you will see a checkbox to add it to the speed dial. This will make it a speed dial entry instead of a standard bookmark.
