Something happened and outlook is now the default mail program like, when I right click on file to send by email. How can I make it use opera mail instead. I have been searching and getting a headache. Thanks.

On Windows it will be in the Control Panel Internet Options, on the "Programs" tab.

Sometimes, Windows default settings involve processes and services that must be started or stopped if a changed functionality is to take effect. Simply changing the default program 'settings' alters the settings in the registry and perhaps certain folder entries, but does not necessarily start all the other actions needed to "make it fully happen" within a running computer.
Things like browsers and eMail clients (which communicate with the outside world via specific boot-started modules) may require that certain services/processes be started with linkage to the default programs... and once started with one default setting, these may require a system restart to get them linked to the new default program.
