      Hi,

the option to send the URL of the current mail via email is not implemented in Opera Next any more (open a new email with the URL)

      thanks!

Must be a web-mail issue? I use POP3 and if I'm E-Mailing a URL as a link, it's the same as ever, not involving the browser.....except to GET the URL, of course.

... not only to get the blank URL, but in the best case to behave like the good old Opera 😉 -- with beaming up the selected text and the HTML title in a new email, just with 2 clicks:

          Click 1
          Click 2

... only one feature of Opera which made it a unique one ...
... but maybe we have to wait for the next (beta) version of Opera "Next" ...

I see what you mean. I liked 12.17, too....but, here we are...

... just some weeks ago I decided to use Opera Next (is it still named "Next" in the latest version? [using the 27 beta version]) as my default browser, not Opera 12.17 any more -- I grew up with Opera 🙂
But some "modern" web pages with all the javascript stuff made Opera 12 slower and slower to the point of not showing some elements or whole pages...
So, after "testing" Opera Next several weeks (or months?) parallel to Opera 12 I made the step to set up Opera Next as my default browser. And with some extensions I was able to add some missing features of Opera 12, eg https://github.com/ChaosinaCan/ClassicTabs/issues or https://github.com/andreasbovens/opera-shortkeys/issues as a replacement for speed dial

... but some features -- as this "URL2mail" option 🙂 -- are still missing ...

Yes, that's all I tried to explain 😉

                  Thank you very much!

PS: only one disadvantage compared to the "send per email" function of Opera 12: it's not possible to create an email with the selected text. Anyway, the button respectively the context menu entry is already an improvement.

After working flawlessly (see my prior e-mail) I had to re-install 12.17 (some unrelated problem) and now my "send link by e-mail" no longer works right. Will not bring up the "send message" page of my Windows Live Mail (WLM) program with the desired URL already in place, but only brings up the WLM home page. I tried re-installing but it always does the same. I seem to have permanently lost the ability to merely use 2 clicks to send to e-mail instead of the now lugubrious "copy and paste" shenanigns. Can anybody help, please?

Otherwise I'll have to go wtih 26 but I so hate the new Bookmarks facility, particularly the impossibility of transfering bookmarks within their own separate bookmark folders instead of hundreds from all folders just in alaphabetical order. THat'sd ludicrous. Anybody know how to transfer complete folders with the own bookmarks from 12..to 26? Thomas
