Opera Link not syncing existing bookmarks

Hey guys
I was kinda surprised when I noticed that Opera 25 doesn't come with Bookmarks Sync. Yes, some people still use that. And love it.
So I googled it and found out that actually Opera Developer 26 does have this feature. So I thought I would give it a try (even though I'm not a developer).
And I signed in using my Opera account ID and waited patiently for my old bookmarks to be synced. And...nothing.Any idea what's happening here? The bookmarks can still be accessed manually at link.opera.com but what good does that make to me if I can't add anything to them or if I can't access them inside the actual browser?

You probably need to use a version equal or higher to 26 to use opera sync. As I understood it opera sync has nothing to do with the old opera link.

You might be right... I'm on Opera Developer 26 now. Any idea if/how I can import the old opera link bookmarks into the new opera sync?
