This problem is with most browsers but shows in various ways.
Some programmers are writting commands that do not get recognised by flashplayer that monopoly required to run the internet content.
It constantly corrupts browser cache and windows cache, often can freeze or lock up a computer.
Of late you here much hardrive activity awaiting page loads, this will be the cache activity of writes.
Much improved turning off flashplayer but its an essential program.
I suggest you use explorer and go to both windows temp dir and browser cache dir and send them to desktop so you can manually deleted them often, best done with browser closed.
Quite often scandisk show the cache files are going corrupt, same in firefox etc too.
So occasionally right click c: drive / properties/tools and disckclean select scan then reboot, if real bad tick both options.
