      Hi all.
Opera 12.17 no longer works with Virustotal. When Virustotal is going to load the file, the little white window appears, and the browser stops there. Nothing happens.

What's wrong? Is there a solution?

      GF

Browser sniffing by the VirusTotal site! Try masking Opera as Internet Explorer for the VirusTotal site... In Opera go to the VirusTotal site page, right-click in a blank part of the page, select "Edit Site Preferences", select "Network", in the "Browser identification" box select "Mask as Internet Explorer", click OK. (I tested with 12.14 and it failed as you described, then was "fixed" as I've described).

Masking as Internet Explorer doesn't work.

Hmm... it solved the exact same problem for me in Opera 12.14. After making the "masking" change, did you reload the site page or restart the browser to clear any old settings/site-cookies? Otherwise, I'm not sure what is happening for you... I suppose it's always possible something in the 12.15-12.17 series of updates boggled things such that 12.17 doesn't work with changes VirusTotal may have made to their site code - but I wasn't aware of any version change-notes that should have impacted things to this extent.
