No, you don't. It's called snap.
You have to agree with me that not everyone snaps the browser window everyday in their workflow, at least, so it might be a good workaround while the bug fix isn't released for some users? -

Just don't use Opera, and you won't have to always follow theirs whims. This browser went dead on Opera 12.

Why not?! It was the best browser ever, when it was 12. It just needed rendering functionality from chromium. But now it doesn't differs from any other browser, but Chrome doesn't have this bugs. What makes Opera unique not?

Are you really that desperate for everyone to agree with you? I don't care which solution you chose. Whatever works best for you, works best for you and that's fair enough. But not everyone is going to agree with you. And I was one of the ones that didn't agree with your solution. You kept arguing your points, which I only gave differing points that showed that for me, your solution was not satisfactory, for me. I wasn't arguing for everyone. I was only arguing from my side. I don't have to agree for everyone, because I am not the center of the universe and I'm not everyone else. So no, I don't have to admit anything just so you make yourself feel good about you wanting to be right. I will not speak for everybody else. I will only speak for my needs. Your solution doesn't work for me. If it works for others, then great. I'm glad they are happy with your fix. I've only offered a different solution (it's not even my solution, just a common sense solution) for people who find that solution unsatisfactory. It's not either of our places to fight for any one solution and push it on to others. You put your solution up. I put mine up. It's up to them to decide which is best for them. Because in the end, both solutions are only temporary until the next update that fixes the issue gets released. That's the way I see it and I'm not willing to entertain such a useless argument any further.

@kime87 I still use 12.14 (with M2) exclusively on Windows and Linux. Even on Android 12.16 is my most used browser, though I do try others just to see how they compare, but still return to Opera 12.16 because for me, it's just better.
But posting what you wrote above won't make a tiny bit of difference (other than putting your view across) as Opera has chosen the path it wishes to take and we either embrace it and offer constructive feedback towards it's future or move on to pastures new.
Me, I'm sitting on the side line seeing how things progress, and depending on the outcome will eventually make my choice (whatever that choice may be), once, and only once 12.14 no longer works for what I need it for.

Same problem. I can tolerate hitting the Windows button, but it's not a very elegant solution. Opera (to me) has always been "all about the easy" and I think this really should get addressed by the Opera development team.

Well, I didn't mean to keep on arguing with you, I was just presenting a solution to anybody too then the moment you mentioned snap I understood your point was about your usage only. Ok. -

The same goes for me, I've used to long. Sometimes Opera 12 due to rendering problem cause whole OS to hang. A week ago I moved to Opera 22, cause there were too many freezes on some sites during using of 12. And 22th Opera was the final reason go gave up on Opera browsers. I got here just to solve issue with nav bar hiding, as Web developer I still tests sites under Opera too, but browser of choice has changes for me. And due to lack of some functionality I'm still trying to get used to Chrome, still better then Opera 22.
Opera 12 was so much good, that I wouldn't understand that if it wasn't discontinued. -

It's fixed in latest Next build, yes. But stable channel isn't updated yet.

The whole point of having the taskbar set to Auto-hide, and having all my windows, (including Opera,) set to maximum, is so that I can see my whole screen when I browse the web, and use various programs without having to press any buttons. I am currently using Juarez's solution to temporarily "fix" the problem, but it is just the same as showing my Taskbar all the time; because of the tabs at the top dropping down below the frame. Opera does a very good job of showing everything when maximized, without having to push any buttons, such as F11, for fullscreen, or the Start key, to show Taskbar. It has only been since Opera23 that this started happening; because, it happened exactly the same on my Desktop, as it did on my laptop, after update from Opera22. PLEASE, update with a workaround. Thank you OpDevs!
