Can't see a bookmarks list, let alone to reorganize them.
The Help tells me that there should be a "View > Show Bookmarks Bar" option under the View menu.
Following options are available to me (under View):
Actual SIze
Zoom On
Zoom Out
HIde Bookmarks Bar (yes that one exits)
Show Speed Dial
Show Stash (any way to permanently delete this?)
Show Discover (any way to permanently delete this?)
Show Downloads
Show Extensions
Show Themes
Show Password Manager
GRAYED OUT: Show Bookmark Importer (Why the heck is this grayed out, why can't I import?)
Encoding
Show Developer MenuWhen I create a bookmark via the HEART ICOn which sometimes appears at the right of the URL bar, I can’t choose a name!! let alone an abbreviation. This is a real drawback.
I’ll want to use Opera but without a decent bookmark utility is is of little use to me. I’m used to hierarchical bookmarks as used under Safari.
I’ve the latest Opera version: V 23.0.1522.72.
Thanks for any help, if possible to danny.lauwers3@telenet.beI can easily send a partial screen dump showing the choices and saving me and you enormous amounts of time but… this utility doesn’t allow importing any file.

In Opera 23 there are three ways to bookmark a website:
-
by adding the website to Speed Dial (a.k.a. Start Page), which supports folders.
-
by adding the website to Stash.
-
by adding the website to the Bookmarks Bar. In the bookmarks bar, you can create folders and folders within folders, as you wish. You can also right click (secondary click) to edit any entry and choose its name.
However, if this is not enough for you, Opera 25 introduces a new Speed Dial and bookmark manager. It's currently in alpha state, but it should be stable within the next few months.
Meanwhile, if there's anything we, the community, can do to help improving your browsing experience with Opera 23, feel free to ask.
Regards
