I cannot open opera.com in china:"The page you're trying to reach is unavailable in your region due to legal restrictions." why ?

It looks like opera.com is currently restricting access from mainland China due to regional/legal requirements. You may still be able to download Opera from its China-specific site.

Opera works in China as I work here but the problem is that extensions are not accessible which means that if I want to apply an add on I am blocked. Occasionally Opera will stop loading sites and tell me that I need to check my connection or other settings. Strange how I can access them on Firefox.
I have used Opera for 26 years but when I came to China I had to use a VPN to download the browser because basically, in my opinion, Opera bosses do not like China.
